Ahoy peeps! Those of you in the Artypeeps Facebook network will know that we have almost 900 Facebook friends all around the world. We want to get our network up into the thousands so we’ve now started a fan page. Pathways: Journeys along Britain’s history byways, from pilgrimage routes to smuggler’s trails is another meaty project for Guardian Books. Artypeeps managed the production and proofreading from manuscript to final files while the design and layout was done by Two Associates and the excellent maps are by Darren Bennett. This was a big book with full colour integrated images throughout and various components in the text design that needed careful attention. We have been really lucky to have the opportunity to revamp the text design of the Guardian Style book. Our challenge was to modernise the design, make it clean and accessible, hit the target page extent and ensure the book is typeset, proofread and ready for printing by the deadline. It was hugely rewarding to work with 

Last Wednesday (22 April) Artypeeps hosted a book design, illustration and photography exhibition at the Troubadour Gallery in Earls Court. This was a one-day event to coincide with the London Book Fair and it was the first exhibition by the Artypeeps collective.


I must say, I’m quite a fan of the typeface used in the branding for Reyka Vodka. Another thing to love about Iceland. Does anyone know the typeface? Prey tell, and we’ll send you a pack of Artypeeps postcards. – KH
